The Guidance Department is pleased to acknowledge Peter Santos for recently achieving the highest composite score possible on the ACT college admissions test.
On average, less than one-tenth of one percent of all test takers earn the top composite score of 36.Among the high school graduating class of 2009, nearly 1.5 million graduates took the ACT.Of that number, just 638 students earned a score of 36.
The ACT consists of tests in English, Mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1 – 36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.
While test scores are just one of the many criteria that most colleges consider when making admission decisions, we are confident that Peter’s top ACT composite score will prove helpful as he pursues his college admission plans.
Congratulations, PJ!
