1. From the NJ Department of Health & Senior Services: "MRSA -- Preventing Skin Infections in School and Athletic Settings" (brochure)
2. From the Centers for Disease Control (CDC): "Questions and Answers about Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in Schools"
It should also be noted that, to date, there have been no reported cases of MRSA in the Randolph Township Schools. The facilities used by Randolph athletes, as well as all bathrooms and lunchrooms throughout the District, are cleaned daily with disinfectants that have been rated for efficacy by the EPA and the FDA -- that is, the disinfectants are effective in destroying MRSA bacteria. This has been the practice in the Randolph Township Schools for years.
